BERLIN – Am 28. und 29. Juni fand die DDS.Berlin, die erste Ausgabe der Digital Dentistry Show, in der Arena Berlin statt. Fast 80 Aussteller und über 1.000 Teilnehmende ließen sich die Premiere nicht entgehen. Rund die Hälfte der Teilnehmenden kam aus Deutschland. Das Event zog auch viele Zahnärztinnen und Zahnärzte aus dem europäischen Ausland und dem Rest der Welt an.
Während der Veranstaltung wurden insgesamt 32 Vorträge von mehr als 50 Referierenden, darunter zahlreiche Expertinnen und Experten der Digital Dentistry Society, gehalten. Diese präsentierten eine breite Palette von Themen rund um die digitale Zahnmedizin und deren Anwendung in der täglichen Praxis. Zu den Highlights zählten die Vorträge von Prof. Christos Angelopoulos, Dr. Luís Bessa, Dr. Leon Emdin, Dr. Raquel Zita Gomes, Dr. Anne Heinz, Dr. Miloš Ljubičić und Dr. Paul Schuh, die verschiedene Fälle und Anwendungen digitaler Technologien vorstellten.
Zusätzlich zu den Vorträgen fanden über 20 Workshops mit insgesamt 300 Teilnehmenden statt. Diese boten praxisnahe Lernerfahrungen zu Themen wie Intraoralscannen, digitale Implantatinsertion, Chairside-Workflows, dynamische Datenerfassung, 3D-Druck und KI-gestützte Behandlungsplanung.
Holger Emmert, Head of Marketing bei SprintRay Europe, kommentierte: „Wir sind positiv überrascht von der Qualität der Teilnehmer und den sehr spezifischen Fragen, die gestellt wurden. Das Allgemeinwissen der Teilnehmer ist höher als das, was wir normalerweise auf Messen oder Konferenzen antreffen.“

Im Gegensatz zu größeren Konferenzen mit allgemeinem Fokus bietet diese Veranstaltung eine einzigartige Gelegenheit, sich ausschließlich auf das Digitale zu konzentrieren“, bemerkte Connie Peterse-van der Koppel, Principal Scientific Adviser bei NextDent by 3D Systems.
Dr. Henriette Lerner, die ehemalige Präsidentin der Digital Dentistry Society, die unter anderem in die Planung des wissenschaftlichen Programms involviert war, fügte hinzu: „Die digitale Zahnmedizin stellt die Gegenwart und Zukunft unserer Praxis dar. Der Wert dieser Veranstaltung liegt in der Konvergenz der neuesten technologischen Entwicklungen und dem Austausch über klinische Anwendungen durch Workshops und Vorträge.“
Die DDS.Berlin bot zudem einen Live-Stream der Vorträge an, der in Kürze online verfügbar sein wird.
Das nächste DDS.Berlin-Event ist für den 26. und 27. Juni 2026 geplant.
